Nightshifted - Cassie Alexander
2.8

Had potential but didn't blossom as well as it could've.

This book was a hot mess. It was all over the place with a barely likeable heroine, with an underdeveloped backstory, and a plot that was not as clear as it should've been.

Grammatically: Tenses were changed, fragment sentences didn't make sense and descriptions were not as clear as they could've been. Also there was repetition when there didn't need to be.

I enjoyed the supporting characters but ... I don't think I will be returning to this world.

Edie often made questionable decisions but still played the martyr when it came to her brother (Seriously, her decision making skulls are shite).

Instead if learning more about the supernatural world she is suddenly immersed in, she continues blindly while making blunders with false bravado that is more obnoxious than endearing.

Also, I could care less who she shags but as a nurse, she should've known better than to ride bareback with a stranger in this day and she.
