Review

Great sequel to "Cry Wolf"! Anna, Charles, Bran, bad guys, the Fae and vampires - what's not to love?
Though these books are sort of separate (running behind the time line of Mercy's series)I keep expecting to see Adam or Samuel. I believe we may if we follow Mercy's timeline, I believe Adam popped up in Montana once to meet with Bran.
Would love to see Samuel and Charles in a book together.
Anna is pretty cool, she reminds me of Mercy but she is completely different. I think Mercy's tougher but Anna, through the course of this book, is slowly growing into her own skin - both wolf and woman. It's a nice evolution and she and Charles really do compliment each other, so it is nice to see a fiction couple that truly get along as opposed to just thrown together.
So, in this book Bran has decided that the Weres are coming out and there is a meeting of the Alphas of the biggest packs. There is a murdering, slavering, werewolf (the kind that you think of when you think "Werewolf")who has his eye on Anna, a deluded Alpha who thinks he's King Arthur incarnated and a few nice ones thrown in. Then, there's Dana Shae - a fae (pardon the rhyme) and we all know that you should never trust the fae.
Vampires are attacking but under the orders of someone with a lot of magic, a lot to gain and who is more than willing to destroy the northern seaboard to get what they want. Anna and Charles have to find out who is doing this before they succumb to consequences.
A definite read for those that are fans of the Alpha & Omega series and for those that are fans of the Mercy Thompson series.
